Summer time
Summer is probably every high schools students favorite part of the year. The warm sun, the crowded beaches, no homework, and spending time with friends. To me that sounds like such a great time. High school is so stressful and a lot of work, but summer is just the time to relax. Some fun things people would do over summer is go on vacation,or go to the beach all the time, go to the mall, go to disneyland. There I just an endless amount of things to do with no time limits. That's what I love about summer is there's no worries on turning things in on time or making sure to not over commit yourself. No matter what I always seem to be so busy over summer though because have to start training for sports and doing stuff for NCL, I haven't had a summer where I to absolutely nothing for about three or four years. I also kind of find it difficult to keep in contact with friends and family that don't live as close. Summer is a great time to try something new though, me personally I've always wanted to learn how to surf. I think I might do that with my friend this summer which would be even more fun. I would also like to get back into tennis because that was my main sport before starting high school and I has a lot of fun with it, so I think it would be nice to get back into that too.

Mother's Day
Since today is Mother's Day, I'm going to talk moms and all they do for us. Me personally, I am so grateful for my mom since she has given me so much and has helped me through a lot of things and honestly I think I have helped her through a lot of things to. That's what I love about our relationship, we help each other. I find it strange when people talk about how much they dislike their mothers and how annoying they are. I do admit, I do get annoyed sometimes with her, but what teenager doesn't. These people say things that are so uncalled for and are really frustrating. For example, when kids are like, you have no right to tell me what to do, when in reality there job is exactly that, and to help us make the right choices in life so that when we go off on our own we can make these decisions ourselves based on what our parents have taught us. So basically what we do on Mother's Day is to honor our mothers and all the hard work they have done to raise us as children of respect, love, compassion, friendliness, and most importantly as children of God. Moms deserve the one day of celebrating them, but it shouldn't be just one day it should be all year of being grateful and loving your mother. Happy Mothers Day!

Gun Control
Awhile ago a Colorado corrections chief was gunned down at his home, and police are now on the hunt to find the man who did this. They are not quite sure whether this was just a random act of violence or something related to his job as a prison guard.these attacks are small in number but are increasing every year. Since 1950, 133 men in this line of work have been killed. These events bring a wake up call to legal officials, prosecutors, and the nations judges because people are out there for revenge and will find a way to get it.While Clements generally kept a low profile, his killing comes a week after he denied a request by a Saudig national to serve out the remainder of a Colorado prison sentence in Saudi Arabia.Clements also recently requested chemicals to execute Nathan Dunlap, who was convicted of killing four people during a 1993 shooting. Any people close to these men could have been out there to get back at Clements. My opinion on the situation is that these men that are in these type of work places need to be on much higher alert and using Clement's situation as example, they can't just open there doors to anyone. There are greater precautions that can be taken up to keep these men safer like adding higher security or keeping a closer eye on the men and women that are held in these situations. Overall this all comes back to gun control, which is a much more in-depth topic. We need to DIMINISH these incidents by having people need to take more initiative in being careful who they hand guns to because you never know if that gun will be taking a persons life.

The Beatles influence
Rock and Roll originated in America in the late 1940s and early 1950s. It
began with saxophones and pianos, but the evolved to guitar and drums
Paul is the most famous example of a great writer of pop melodies
Lennon's way of writing was a lot more darker and sang of loss or death
etc. Harrison was " one of the most versatile guitarists ever" - Joe Bithern
a guitarists/singer. His experimenting with melodies made his sound
unique. Ringo way of drumming is not flashy nor does he like to play
solos because he doesn't want his drumming to take away from the song as a whole
Since the Beatles stopped touring and decided to go to just recording
songs they would incorporate sounds like accidental guitar feedback and
glass bottles which could not be replicated on stage. There decision to
stop touring and just focus on dedicating themselves to composing and
doing studio work was the biggest thing to effect their sound
The Beatles also had a bond that was expressed through their music. The Beatles
helped convey self-identity through their music upon a youthful,
music based culture as a force for not only music consumers, but political
expression, social commentary, and contemporary lifestyle
Not only did they influence music, but fashion too. Sales of Beatle wigs,
Cuban heeled boots, and collarless jackets all skyrocketed. You also so a lot
more of long hair on men.
The Beatles set a standard for popular music and brought an immense
amount of popularity to the Rock and Roll genre
They also had great influence on the teenagers because that time in the early
1960s teens were just beginning to find their voice and the Beatles helped
them find that voice.
The fact that Teenagers and Children know let alone appreciate music that is
+40 years old is a testament to something unique and special about their music
They influence me because they made it seem clear that it's ok to express your
opinion though it may not be the popular one. Also, they made it obvious that
even though there will be bumps in the road if you have a passion for what you
do and work hard enough it will all work out in the end. Some of the Beatles now have
PROGENY going in the same line of work so their name and sound will live on

DIY-Prom nails
So since prom is coming up I think I'm going to show you guys how to do a really cool nail design that is quick and easy. The best part is you don't have to get a professional manicure to make this look amazing. It will totally pull together your outfit and people will be dieting to know where you got them done. So it just takes five easy steps. Let me tell you the tools you will be needing before we start. You will need mini clipping scissors, a fake feather of your choice and a clear coat of nail polish, and a nail polish color of your choice. Ok let's start
1. On your first nail ( we are only going to do one nail at a time ), put a fresh coat of paint. Then place the tip of the feather on the wet nail.
2. Next, you want to clip off most of the loose end, but not all of it
3. Let it dry then trim the rest. After it's dry put a nice coat of clear coat over it and it should be sealed .
4. Repeat this process on however many nails you want. Then get ready to show off your beautiful, salon quality nails.
Your name will soon be SYNONYMOUS with fashion. Just four easy steps and your done!

Mexican Fiesta
So I went to Mexico over Spring Break and it was such a great experience. What I didn't know was how good of a cultural experience it was. The past years when I had gone to Mexico I had not taken and Spanish classes so I couldn't really understand much. This time it was different. I understood the stuff going on around me and I could understand the things people were saying to me. Going into the town off cabo was a lot more enjoyable because I could read the menus and information. A really cool thing our hotel did was set up a fiesta night for all the guest. They had all these vendors come by selling handmade crafts and silver jewelry items. At first my friend and I were a little nervous about the whole bargaining thing, but in the end it all worked out and we got a pretty good deal. Before this dinner was served and it was all classic Mexican food like tortilla soup, enchiladas, and different kinds of meat they would cook right in front of you. It was awesome. Dessert was my favorite because they had classic Mexican hot chocolate and rice pudding in those really cool clay bowls. To end it all there was an amazing firework show right over the ocean and reflecting off the pool. I had a blast and I felt like I was at a real fiesta. It will definitely be something I don't forget. I'm definitely happy about taking Spanish class because I know find it very helpful.

What's your style?
Everyone has there own sense of style. For example: girly, sporty, casual, preppy, bohemian etc.
I am going to talk about what all these styles consist of in case you might not know what you like to where or what you think fits your personality. Personally, I am not impartial over any of these styles and I think there all cute
1. Girly: This style consists of a lot of cute little dresses and skirts. Some things you could look for while out shopping is nice floral prints and soft colors along with lace design. Some more clothing options for the girly style is some jewelry that's not to bulky or heavy. Some shoes would be like a cute pair of sandals or shoes.
2. Sporty/Casual: the sporty style is basically what it sounds like-Sporty it consist of really comfortable clothes like a loose pair of pants and a cute V-neck with converse or any type of shoe. You can add a cute fedora or a baseball cap to complete this outfit. Normally sporty dressing people don't wear much jewelry. If your going for casual just throw on a nice pair of jeans and a cute T-shirt and your good to go.
3. Preppy: When going for this style you want to wear a lot of collard shirts, blazers, sweaters with button down shirts and cuffed jeans. I really like this style when you put it together correctly. When wearing these things you can tuck in your shirt and add a nice belt that pulls it all together. Maybe to complete the outfit wear a pair of Oxfords or Sperry Topsiders.
4. Bohemian: Boho clothes can kind of be described as what they wore in the hippie era,but with more style. It consist of a lot of maxi skirts and dresses, headbands, sandals, and as they call it boyfriend jeans(baggy). Boho style has very bright and loud patterns. You can add a little beaded necklace or bracelet and an over the shoulder bag to complete the outfit.

#LOUDtour with R5
Last night, Morgan and I went to a small little concert at the Mira Mesa epicenter. The excitement started when we first got there in line. We saw the whole R5 crew by there tour bus. When we entered the center we started out in a decent spot, but we wiggled our way through the crowd and we ended up right in the middle and two rows back and there weren't that many people there. It was a little while before anyone came out so we talked and made some friends. We later found out it wasn't just R5, it was three other bands/people, a guy named Alex Aiono, a band called Taylor Mathews, and a sister and brother group called Brandon and Savannah. We didn't know what to expect. When Alex came out I was really happily surprised. He was really talented and same with Taylor Mathews and Brandon and Savannah. When they finished, R5 came out and everyone was freaking out, Ross Lynch was literally three feet in front of us. When he came over into the crowd he was right there. After the concert all the artist would meet with the fans. We went to get in line for the signing with R5 and while in line Alex saw us and told us to come over after the signing. When we got to the front of the line we made small talk with them and passed along. We then saw Ryland who is the bands younger brother (our age) and there stage manager. It was really cool to talk to him. We went out to the parking lot and we saw Brandon and Savannah from far away and asked if we could get his signature. He looked at us and said "hey it's you guys, come over here" so we went over and he said "You guys were rocking so hard and you were definitely my favorites in the crowd." That was cool to here. We got his signature and his band mate came over who was from San Diego, and Brandon said to him, these were the girls I kept singing to. He then turned back to us when they were leaving and said not only were we there favorite, but we were the prettiest. It made our day. So, much more happened. We talked to the violinist of Taylor Mathews, David who was super nice and then we talked to Taylor and found out he was on Americas Got Talent. After we talked to David and Tyler about surfing and the tour he gave us a hug goodbye and said we were the sweetest. Then Ryland came up to us and talked to us. I asked him when the LA date was and he said May 19, I told him we were going and he was like cool, If you see us come say Hi! We said we definitely would. All these consecutive events were overwhelming. Later, right before we left we asked Ryland for a hug and he said " Is it because your cold" we both said ya and gave him a hug goodbye. It was the perfect end to a perfect day.

Movie review
I thought that yesterday was kind of a movie day so I decided to go see the movie, Oz the Great and Powerful. I heard some mixed reviews about it, so I wasn't really sure about it. The movie theatre was packed so it definitely had big hype. When it started, in the beginning, it was kind of confusing, but I started to catch on as it went on. I do think it was alittle superfluous though. I don't want to give to many details away, but it was really cool to see how this pre-qual really tied in to the original Wizard of Oz. It helped me understand that movie much better too. The graphics in this movie were really impressive and it made it seem real, especially that it was in 3D which I think made it a lot better. Even better, the movie had very good actors in it and it appealed to all different audiences. It was romantic, scary, sad, and very funny. The movie had a lot of levity in it. It's kind of hard to put all those "genres" if you call it into one, but they did (though it might not have gone to extremes). My favorite part was when the evil queen collapsed and then turned into an old lady. I definitely recommend going to this movie and taking your kids because they will enjoy it along with you which is hard to find in some movies. In a rating from F-A+, I give this movie an B+ or A- I thought it was really well done and I really enjoyed it. The director, Sam Raimi, did a very good job.

Friendship
Recently I found out I was going to go on vacation with my best friend. We were so excited about all the fun things we were going to do. I then started thinking we are going to be together 24/7 and what if we get sick of each other. I didn't want to think this, but that's just what came to mind. I then realized we have been great friends for six years now and though we bicker we always forget and go back to being complete goofballs together. That's the thing about having a best friend, it has to be someone that accepts you and you can act crazy without worrying, but also you can trust and tell everything to. I feel like I have that best friend and I don't think anything will ruin that friendship. Now, instead of worrying, I think about all the fun times we will have and just take it day by day.
